1. Set your target. Each friend agrees a personal weight target and a fortnightly weight loss goal. Everyone pays the same entry fee into the prize pool at the start of each fortnight.
2. Step on your smart scale. Daily weigh-ins come directly from your smart scale via Apple Health. No manual entries. No video weigh-ins. The scale is the source of truth.
3. Hit your target or pay up. Miss your fortnight target and your stake gets split between the friends who hit theirs. Money lands in their bank account automatically. Then you pay again to rejoin the next fortnight.

Verification & fairness

Verified by your scale, not your word.

Weigh-ins come exclusively from HealthKit-paired smart scales — Withings, Eufy, RENPHO, Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Watch. Manual entries are rejected. This makes outcomes hardware-attested, objective, and impossible to fake. Stronger than the video weigh-in verification used by comparable apps like DietBet and HealthyWage.

A skill-based contest, not a wager.

Plus 1 is a skill-based contest with objective biometric verification. There is no element of chance. The platform operator collects entry fees and distributes prizes from the prize pool. Comparable to fitness contest apps approved on the Apple App Store.

Built for closed groups

Plus 1 is designed for small groups of friends who already know and trust each other — typically 3 to 8 people. There is no public matchmaking, no global leaderboard, no social network features. Groups are invite-only and approved by the group creator. The app will be available in Australia and the United Kingdom only.
